Linda Majid is Pharmacist who started working on Medical Cosmetics filed since 2002 with the pioneers skin care brands on GCC & ME.

Started with BIODERMA from 2007 & her job career escalated from medical representative to Medical Communication & Operation Manager then as a Regional Training Manager then she has been promoted to Medical Marketing Manager and finally She is the Regulatory Affairs Manager for GCC & KSA.

Fatima Kassem

Fatima Kassem is a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Biersdorf. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy followed by her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Copenhagen. She started off as a student assistant at Zealand Pharma and moved up to work at the First for Food and Consultancy as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist. She is a committed and motivated individual who thrives highly under pressure and works excellent in challenging circumstances. 

Eng. Ebrahim Al Njar

My name is Ebrahim Njar and I am the global regulatory affairs specialist at BioScience GmbH. I graduated from Ajman University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering in late 2017, and have been working in the medical device regulatory affairs industry since 2018 with a main focus on MDs regulations in the MENA region. I also possess a strong understanding of the new European medical device regulations 2017/745 (MDR) and their implications on our regional regulations. I am an IRCA certified auditor for both ISO 13485 (medical devices quality management systems) and ISO 9001 (quality management systems). I am currently finishing my Master of Science program at Arizona State University with a major in Clinical Research Management and a minor in Regulatory Science.

Dr. Salam Waiss

Over the course of 22 years career, Salam Waiss has been a noteworthy leader in the regulatory field. He worked for both Federal and Regional Ministries of Health as in NCDCR (National Center For Quality Control & Research) and KMCA (Kurdistan Medical Control Agency). In February 2021, he took on the Registration Manager role at KMCA to help enhance & improve efficacy, quality & safety of medical & health products, also credited for his contributions in legislative, procedural, and analytical development.
Since joining KMCA, the most rewarding part has been QC Manager, His approach to commit to standards is largely inspired by great professors who supervise his professional and scientific life, which you’ll find reflected in his management style and the standards he binds the industry to.
Salam Waiss has been honored with Recognitions for his contributions and role to support the Kurdistan medical industry and motivate them to rise in quality standards. He born 1975 and holds a Bachelor & Master Degrees from Baghdad University / Pharmacy Collage and currently resides in Erbil/Kurdistan.

Specialized in Regulatory Affairs, Product Development and Quality Assurance for the cosmetics industry, she is a certified EU Cosmetics Safety Assessor. As Regulatory Affairs Manager at Critical Catalyst – Health Consulting, Liliana works closely with manufacturers, importers and distributors of cosmetic products located worldwide to ensure compliance with EU regulations and safe access to the EU market.

Dr. Ala’a Al-Oballi

Dr. Alaa Al-Oballi is a Regulatory Pharmacist in the Drug Registration Department of the Jordan Food & Drug Administration, she holds a Bachelor’s in Science Degree in Pharmacy from Misr University and has 4 years experience as a Hospital Pharmacist as well as 4 years experience as a Regulatory Affairs Pharmacist. She is an active member of the Originators and Biologics Post approval changes and Evaluation and Registration of Originators & Biologics Drugs.

Dr. Maged Samir

Dr. Maged Samir is the Director of the Department of Inspection of Imported Cosmetics and Household Insecticides. He holds a Bachelor’s in Science Degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as well as a Diploma in Principles of Management, Marketing Management and Organizational Behavior. He has been an integral part of Egyptian Drug Authority for the past 11 years.
